ZYTC Alloy Delivers AMS 5397 IN100 Cast Bars to Taiwan — Certified, Traceable, On Time
ZYTC Alloy has successfully completed an export order of IN100 cast bars to Taiwan, produced to AMS 5397 specification. The shipment comprised bars measuring ø120 × 150 mm, fully tested and certified before delivery. Regardless of order quantity, ZYTC Alloy applies the same standardized, process-driven, and professional production and inspection workflow to every batch. This commitment ensures that each IN100 cast bar leaving our facility meets the exact requirements of the customer’s application.
What Is IN100?
IN100 (UNS N13100) is a nickel-based precipitation-hardening cast superalloy designed for service temperatures up to 950°C. It belongs to the top group of high-temperature nickel-base superalloys due to its exceptionally high volume fraction of the γ′ strengthening phase — typically 60–70%. The high aluminum and titanium content, combined with cobalt and molybdenum for solid solution strengthening and boron and zirconium for grain boundary stabilization, gives IN100 outstanding creep rupture strength and oxidation resistance in demanding environments.
IN100 is produced via vacuum melting and vacuum casting, yielding a low impurity content and consistent microstructure. Its low density relative to its strength makes it particularly attractive for rotating components where weight reduction is critical, such as turbine blades, guide vanes, and turbocharger rotor impellers in gas turbine engines.

IN100 vs. 713C: Key Differences
Both IN100 and Inconel 713C are vacuum-cast nickel-base superalloys used in high-temperature turbine applications, but their chemistries and performance profiles differ significantly.
| Parameter | IN100 | 713C |
|---|---|---|
| Cr | 8.5 – 9.5% | ~12.5% |
| Co | 14.0 – 16.0% | — (not specified) |
| Ti | 3.5 – 5.0% | ~0.8% |
| Al | 3.8 – 5.7% | ~6.1% |
| C | 0.13 – 0.22% | ~0.12% |
| Mo | 2.5 – 3.5% | ~4.2% |
| Nb + Ta | — | ~2.0% |
| γ′ Volume Fraction | 60 – 70% | Lower (Al+Ti ratio differs) |
| Density | 7.75 – 7.80 g/cm³ | Higher (due to Nb+Ta) |
| Strength-to-Density | Superior | Moderate |
| Primary Application | Turbine blades >800°C, turbocharger wheels | General turbine components, lower-temperature sections |
The critical distinction lies in the Al + Ti content: IN100 contains substantially more titanium (3.5–5.0% vs. ~0.8% in 713C), which drives the formation of a much higher γ′ fraction. This gives IN100 superior high-temperature strength and creep resistance, but also makes it more sensitive to weld liquation cracking and strain age cracking than 713C.
