What is N14080?
N14080 (UNS N14080, HyMu 80, Permalloy 80, Alloy 79) is a soft magnetic, unoriented nickel‑iron‑molybdenum alloy known for its exceptionally high initial permeability and maximum permeability, combined with minimum hysteresis loss. This high‑Nickel alloy (approximately 80% nickel) offers outstanding magnetic performance in low‑ and medium‑magnetic field applications.
The N14080 alloy is widely specified in international standards including ASTM A753‑21 (Type 4), AMS, and EN specifications, as well as equivalent grades such as 1J79 (Chinese standard) and W.Nr. 1.3813. ZYTC Alloy strictly follows all these standards in our manufacturing processes.

While the mechanical strength of annealed N14080 is moderate, the alloy exhibits excellent plasticity and can be easily formed into complex shapes. For applications requiring higher mechanical strength, N14080 can be supplied in cold‑worked tempers, though magnetic performance may be reduced.
