Alloy 625 (Inconel 625, UNS N06625) Plate | ASTM B443 Standard Export Grade from ZYTC Alloy

2026-06-02

At ZYTC Alloy, we specialize in the production and global supply of Alloy 625 (also known as Inconel 625, UNS N06625). Our recent export to the United States featured Alloy 625 Gr.2 Plates manufactured under ASTM B443 in dimensions 6.35×1219×2438mm and 12.7×1219×2438mm, all strictly following standardized, process-driven, and professional production and inspection procedures. Every batch is qualified before delivery, ensuring the highest reliability for our customers.

We are capable of producing Alloy 625 in various forms: plates, sheets, strips, wire, bars, rods, tubes, pipes, forgings, and any Alloy 625-related products. We also offer custom machining according to your drawings, strictly conforming to ASTM, EN, and AMS standards. With fast lead times, competitive pricing, and uncompromised quality, ZYTC Alloy is your trusted partner for Alloy 625 materials.

Chemical Composition of Alloy 625 (UNS N06625)

The exceptional performance of Alloy 625 comes from its precise chemistry. The nominal composition is as follows:

Element Content (%)
Nickel (Ni) 58.0 min
Chromium (Cr) 20.0 – 23.0
Molybdenum (Mo) 8.0 – 10.0
Iron (Fe) 5.0 max
Niobium (Nb) + Tantalum (Ta) 3.15 – 4.15
Cobalt (Co) 1.0 max
Manganese (Mn) 0.50 max
Silicon (Si) 0.50 max
Aluminum (Al) 0.40 max
Titanium (Ti) 0.40 max
Carbon (C) 0.10 max
Phosphorus (P) 0.015 max
Sulfur (S) 0.015 max

The addition of molybdenum and niobium gives Alloy 625 its outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.

Mechanical Properties of Alloy 625

Alloy 625 exhibits excellent strength and ductility from cryogenic temperatures up to 1800°F (982°C). Typical mechanical properties for annealed Alloy 625 (ASTM B443) are:

Property Value
Tensile Strength 827 MPa (120 ksi) min
Yield Strength (0.2% offset) 414 MPa (60 ksi) min
Elongation 30% min
Hardness ≤ 220 HB (or ≤ 95 HRB)
Modulus of Elasticity 205 GPa (29.8 × 10³ ksi)
Melting Range 1290 – 1350°C (2350 – 2460°F)

Alloy 625 retains high creep-rupture strength and oxidation resistance even after prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. Its fatigue strength and thermal fatigue resistance are also remarkable.

Applications of Alloy 625

Thanks to its unique combination of high strength, fabricability, and exceptional corrosion resistance, Alloy 625 is widely used in:

  • Aerospace & Marine Engineering: Duct systems, jet engine exhausts, thrust reversers, fuel lines, and seawater components.

  • Chemical Processing: Reaction vessels, heat exchangers, evaporators, distillation columns, and scrubbers handling corrosive acids (hydrochloric, sulfuric, phosphoric).

  • Oil & Gas Industry: Downhole tubing, sour gas service equipment, wellhead components, and subsea control lines.

  • Power Generation: Nuclear reactor components, steam turbine shrouds, and superheater tubing.

  • Pollution Control: Flue gas desulfurization (FGD) scrubbers, stack liners, and ducting.

  • Industrial Heating: Retorts, furnace hardware, and thermowells.

Alloy 625 is also approved for ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Section VIII, Division 1) and *NACE MR0175/ISO 15156* for sour service environments.
