About Alloy
Incoloy 800H (UNS N08810, W.Nr 1.4958 )is a variant of Incoloy 800, with a slightly different composition and properties. It is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy that is known for its excellent resistance to corrosion, high-temperature oxidation, and creep.
The main difference between Incoloy 800 and Incoloy 800H is the carbon content. Incoloy 800H has a higher carbon content, which gives it improved strength and creep resistance at high temperatures. The alloy is also more resistant to sensitization, which can occur when the alloy is exposed to certain environments.
Incoloy 800H is often used in applications where high-temperature strength and resistance to oxidation and corrosion are critical, such as in heat exchangers, boilers, and other high-temperature equipment in the power generation and chemical processing industries.
In terms of its properties, Incoloy 800H has a high melting point, excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion, and good weldability. It is also resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.
Overall, Incoloy 800H is a high-performance alloy that is valued for its excellent high-temperature properties, corrosion resistance, and weldability, making it an ideal material for a wide range of industrial applications.
