Hastelloy G30

Hastelloy G30

    About Alloy

Hastelloy G30 is a highly corrosion-resistant nickel-base alloy designed for service in harsh environments involving strong oxidizing acids. Developed as an improvement over earlier Hastelloy alloys, G30 offers exceptional resistance to a wide range of chemical environments, including nitric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and various mixtures thereof.

Key features of Hastelloy G30 include:

Excellent Corrosion Resistance: It provides superior resistance to both oxidizing and reducing acids, as well as resistance to localized corrosion such as pitting and crevice corrosion.

High Strength: Hastelloy G30 maintains its mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for applications where both corrosion resistance and structural integrity are crucial.

Fabricability: The alloy is easily formed, welded, and machined, allowing for versatile manufacturing processes and ease of maintenance.

Applications: It finds use in a wide range of industries including chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, pollution control, pulp and paper production, and other sectors where corrosive environments are prevalent.

The composition of Hastelloy G30 typically includes high levels of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, along with additions of tungsten and cobalt, which collectively enhance its resistance to corrosion and maintain its mechanical strength in demanding conditions.
