    About Alloy

Titanium Grade 3, also known as Commercially Pure Titanium Grade 3 (CP Grade 3), is a commercially available unalloyed titanium grade. It is similar to Titanium Grade 2 but with slightly higher oxygen content, which gives it improved corrosion resistance.
Titanium Grade 3 is composed of 99.3% pure titanium, with trace amounts of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen, and iron. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in oxidizing environments, making it suitable for applications in chemical processing, marine equipment, and other corrosive environments.
One of the key features of Titanium Grade 3 is its high strength-to-weight ratio. It is approximately 50% lighter than steel while still maintaining good strength. This makes it desirable for applications where weight reduction is crucial, such as aerospace, automotive, and sports equipment.
Like other commercially pure titanium grades, Titanium Grade 3 is biocompatible, non-toxic, and resistant to corrosion in the human body. Therefore, it is commonly used in medical and dental implants, surgical instruments, and prosthetics.
Titanium Grade 3 is known for its excellent formability and weldability. It can be easily fabricated into various shapes and sizes, including sheets, plates, bars, tubes, and wires. It exhibits good ductility and can withstand high temperatures.
