About Alloy
Titanium Grades 1-4 are unalloyed and generally known as CP (Commercially Pure). Titanium Grade 1, also known as Commercially Pure Titanium Grade 1 (CP Grade 1), is a commercially available unalloyed titanium grade. It is the softest and most ductile titanium grade, offering excellent corrosion resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, and biocompatibility.
Titanium Grade 1 is composed of 99.5% pure titanium, with trace amounts of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen, and iron. It possesses outstanding corrosion resistance, particularly in environments such as seawater, brine, and mild reducing or oxidizing acids. This makes it suitable for applications in the chemical industry, marine equipment, and various corrosive environments.
Due to its low density and high strength, Grade 1 titanium is widely used in aerospace, automotive, and sports equipment industries. It offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making it an ideal choice for applications where weight reduction is critical. Additionally, its biocompatibility and resistance to corrosion in the human body make it valuable in medical implants, such as orthopedic devices, dental implants, and surgical instruments.
Titanium Grade 1 can be easily welded, fabricated, and formed into various shapes and sizes. It is commonly used in the form of sheets, plates, bars, wires, and tubes. It can withstand high temperatures, exhibits good thermal conductivity, and has low thermal expansion.
