Alloy Steel AISI 4330 Mod Vac Melt (AMS 6411/ AMS 6427)

Alloy Steel AISI 4330 Mod Vac Melt (AMS 6411/ AMS 6427)

    About Alloy

4330V material is a high-strength low-alloy steel with excellent fatigue strength, toughness and corrosion resistance. Alloy 4330V is a NiCrMoV hardened and tempered high strength alloy steel for applications in the oil, gas and aerospace industries. Alloy 4330V is an high strength alloy that has exceptional low temperature impact properties.

4330V materials usually need heat treatment to obtain excellent comprehensive properties. Common heat treatment methods include normalizing, quenching and tempering. Normalizing can improve the strength and hardness of the material, quenching can increase the toughness and corrosion resistance of the material, and tempering can adjust the hardness and toughness of the material. Parameters such as temperature, time and cooling rate during the heat treatment process need to be strictly controlled to ensure that the material has consistent performance.
