About Alloy
Aluminum alloy 7075 is one of the highest strength aluminum alloys available, primarily composed of aluminum alloyed with zinc as the primary alloying element, along with small amounts of magnesium and copper. It belongs to the 7xxx series of aluminum alloys, known for their superior strength-to-weight ratio and excellent mechanical properties. Alloy 7075 is heat treatable and typically used in applications requiring high strength, such as aerospace, military, and high-performance applications. It offers exceptional corrosion resistance, good machinability, and retains its strength at elevated temperatures. Commonly used in aircraft structures, missile parts, and automotive components, alloy 7075 exemplifies reliability and performance in demanding environments where strength, lightweight properties, and durability are paramount.
